Jenny Liu Zhang

Freelance Status: Accepting inquiries for Summer 2022
Daily Focus: Creating Plot Twisters and freelancing.
Setting: United Kingdom
British Summer Time

Welcome!

My name is Jenny, and I'm a digital creator. I'm a strong visual thinker and my work style is meticulous, thoughtful, and imaginative. I only commit to projects when I am certain I will add value.

These days I spend most of my time creating Plot Twisters, an initiative to reimagine how young people learn, work, and play. I enjoy joining teams as a freelancer when I have time on top of that. If you'd like to collaborate, please reach out using my contact form or send me an email.

“Jenny has a natural ability to ask the right questions at the right time, and brings a perfect balance of research and intuition to every project she is involved in.”

Industries I've Previously Worked With

I already have some market context, operational research, and understanding of the potential stakeholders in the following fields:

Skills

Web Development

I design and develop responsive websites in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I specialize in CMS frameworks like Webflow, Shopify, Squarespace, and WordPress.

Product Strategy

I ask questions to steer hazy ideas toward clear product outlines. I facilitate design discovery sessions to break down scope, stakeholders, competitive value, and intentions.

UX/UI Design

I think through the nitty-gritty decisions a user might make, then design them into visual maps and mobile/web mockups. I brainstorm on paper and design UI in Figma.

Graphic Design

I transform aesthetic inclinations into polished branding, logos, pitch decks, and layouts for web and print. I am advanced in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Figma.

Illustration

I create both hand-drawn and vector artwork for web and print, as well as frame-by-frame GIF animations. I specialize in line drawings (like on this website) and mixed media.

Photo Manipulation

I use Photoshop to create surreal compositions, retouch photos, and cut objects and people out onto transparent backgrounds. I am trusted with hard details, like hair.
